Traces of the Trade (tales from the deep north): Hour-long Documentary
Successful showing at Sundance/June TV airing on PBS
TRACES had two sold-out showings at Sundance this January. The first television airing will be on PBS this June.
The film documents the slave trade's biggest businessmen, who lived in New England. It is a heart-wrenching and revealing film.
Miller scored the film for string trio, piano, guitar, and synthesizer.

March/April 2008
Work will shortly begin on sound design and music for this 7 minute stop-motion animation piece
by Agnieszka Woznicka at RISD.
KINODANCE Performance at the ICA in April
March/April Composing for modern dance with film and sets
Composing has begun for 2 performances at the I.C.A. in Boston on Apr.11 and 12. The film/dance group KINODANCE has commissioned Miller
to compose and perform on piano on stage with the dancers and the lights and set, while film is projected in the sets.
Alloy Orchestra
Spring/Summer 2008
The Alloy Orchestra composed a new score last fall for the rarely viewed masterpiece "Underworld." This was the first "gangster film", made in 1928, and, of course, silent. This Spring and Summer, The Alloy Orchestra will be performing this film and others in the Midwest, and on both East and West Coasts.

Mission of Burma
Summer 2008
In May, June and July, Mission of Burma will do brief tours of the East Coast, Midwest, and Spain/France. The triple-CD boxed set of their early work will appear in Mid-March on the Matador Label.
