Roger Miller: The Big Industry (CD/LP) - OOP
Ace of Hearts 10012: 1988
The Maximum Electric Piano set-up was as follows:
Yamaha electric baby-grand piano w/strings and pick-ups; Electro-Harmonix 16 second digital delay; Big Muff
Fuzz Tone; Ibanez echo unit; various prepared piano tools, voice. This set-up allowed the artist to b
ecome a "one-man band" by setting up elaborate bass or rhythmic loops and playing over them, then
layering onto those loops, or completely shifting the looping unit so it became a delay in the middle
of the piece. He toured as a solo performer, with Russ Smith doing sound and adding treatments to the vocals
and piano.
